A tower crane rotation brake with a rotation braking state indicating device comprises a tower crane rotation brake shell, a braking state indicating lamp and a power box. A friction plate, a brake spring, a brake disc, a friction disc, a brake armature, a weather vane push handle, a release rod, a weather vane armature, a weather vane cover, a weather vane rod release spring, a brake state switch, a brake state indicator lamp, a power box and the brake state switch are electrically connected in series. According to the rotary brake of the tower crane, the brake state switch, the brake state indicator lamp and the corresponding circuit are additionally arranged on the basis of a standard rotary brake, so that the state of the rotary brake can be conveniently and quickly checked at the bottom of the tower crane under the condition that the tower crane is powered off and shut down; the rotary braking state indicating device can be reformed and installed on the basis of original conventional configuration, and the reformation cost is low.
