The invention provides a square-to-round trunk joint and a lofting method thereof, and relates to the field of joint lofting. The square-to-round trunk joint comprises four triangular parts and four fan-shaped parts which are alternately arranged, the bottom edges of the four triangular parts are sequentially connected to define a joint square opening, and the joint square opening is used for being connected with a square ventilation trunk in a matched mode. The arc sections of the four fan-shaped parts are sequentially connected to define a connector circular opening, and the connector circular opening is used for being connected with a circular ventilation trunk in a matched mode. The vertexes of the fan-shaped parts coincide with the intersection points of the bottom edges of the two adjacent triangular parts, the vertexes of the triangular parts coincide with the intersection points of the arc sections of the two adjacent fan-shaped parts, the radius sections of the fan-shaped parts coincide with the side edges of the adjacent triangular parts, and the four fan-shaped parts are each provided with an arc-shaped surface. According to the lofting method for the joint of the square-to-round trunk, the joint structure can be accurately designed and machined by using the same steel plate material, the matching precision of the joint of the square-to-round trunk and two ventilation trunks is high, and the uniformity of the material and the appearance is high.
