The invention discloses a precision control method for installation of a main engine gearbox base in a block stage. The precision control method comprises the following steps that the height installation reference, the width installation reference and the front-back installation reference of the main engine gearbox base are determined; and the main engine gearbox base is positioned in place at a time according to the height installation reference, the width installation reference and the front-back installation reference of the main engine gearbox base. According to the method, the main engine gearbox base is installed from the dock carrying stage to the block stage in advance, the dock period is shortened, and the installation precision and the installation efficiency are improved.
