The invention aims to provide a reduction gearbox mounting method. The reduction gearbox mounting method comprises the following steps that a reduction gearbox base is mounted on a heavy plate of a chassis of a machine room; an outer side anti-shear block is fixed to the heavy plate and arranged opposite to the reduction gearbox base, and the heavy plate, the reduction gearbox base and the outer side anti-shear block form an assembly unit body; paint spraying is conducted on the assembly unit bodies; and providing an inner side anti-shearing block, and applying external force to the inner side anti-shearing block, so that the inner side anti-shearing block is embedded between the outer side anti-shearing block and the reduction gearbox base. By means of the reduction gearbox installation method, secondary emission of VOCs can be reduced, and meanwhile the dust-free requirement of a workshop is met.
