The invention discloses a method for installing a high-altitude integral rear plug of a steel box gallery, which relates to the technical field of steel structures and comprises the following steps of: connecting lifting lugs: connecting four lifting lugs on the steel box gallery with four lifting ropes on a crane; hoisting by using a crane: hoisting the steel box gallery to an appointed position through a hoisting rope on the crane by using the crane; bottom face debugging is conducted, specifically, the connecting points of lifting ropes on the crane and the steel box gallery are adjusted according to the four lifting lugs on the steel box gallery, and in other words, the horizontal positions of the four corners of the bottom face of the steel box gallery are adjusted according to the mounting face of the steel box gallery; butting a rear plug: butting the debugged steel box gallery with the mounting surface of the steel box gallery to complete the butting of the steel box gallery with the rear plug of the mounting surface of the steel box gallery; according to the steel box gallery, independent welding and independent hoisting of the steel component can be avoided, the installation efficiency of the steel box gallery is improved, the installation difficulty of the steel box gallery is reduced, and the installation cost of the steel box gallery is reduced.
