The invention discloses a method for dynamically estimating the insufficient steering gradient of a vehicle, and the method is characterized in that the method comprises the following steps: receiving a vehicle state signal; carrying out primary processing on the received vehicle state signal; establishing a vehicle kinematic model; dynamically estimating an understeer gradient of the vehicle by means of the established vehicle kinematic model; and optimizing the dynamically estimated understeer gradient. The invention further discloses a system for dynamically estimating the understeer gradient of the vehicle.
