The embodiment of the invention is suitable for the technical field of vehicles, and provides a vehicle braking method and device and a vehicle-mounted terminal.The method comprises the steps that in response to a braking instruction of a vehicle, scene information on a current driving road of the vehicle is obtained, and the scene information is used for representing the complexity of a braking scene faced by the vehicle; the expected acceleration needed by vehicle braking is determined, wherein the expected acceleration is used for measuring whether the vehicle can meet the braking requirement only through motor braking or not; according to the scene information and the expected acceleration, the braking mode of the vehicle is determined; and the vehicle is braked according to the braking mode. By means of the method, safe driving of the vehicle can be guaranteed in the vehicle braking process.
