The auxiliary charging method is applied to a berth control device of a ship autonomous charging system, and after a charging trigger instruction sent by a ship is received, an adjusting steel bar is controlled to finely adjust the position of the ship. A port preparation instruction is sent to the ship, so that the ship completes preparation before charging and feeds back a charging start instruction, a positive charging end and a negative charging end are controlled to be in magnetic connection and fixation with two corresponding power receiving ends on the ship for charging according to the charging start instruction, charging is stopped after a charging end instruction is received, and the two positive and negative charging wires are recycled; and meanwhile, a port closing instruction is sent to the ship. According to the invention, the parking position of the ship is finely adjusted through the adjusting steel bar, so that the power receiving end and the charging end on the ship can be accurately butted, automatic charging connection is realized, and the charging efficiency is improved; the stability of the autonomous charging process of the unmanned ship is improved through magnetic attraction fixed charging connection, and the influence of the environment on the ship during charging is reduced.
