The invention provides a vacuum brake boosting system, a vehicle and a control method. The vacuum brake boosting system comprises a vacuum booster, a pressure sensor, a mechanical vacuum pump, an electric vacuum pump and a control unit. The pressure sensor is used for detecting the vacuum degree of the vacuum booster; the mechanical vacuum pump and the electric vacuum pump are both communicated with the vacuum booster; the mechanical vacuum pump, the electric vacuum pump and the pressure sensor are all connected with a control unit, and the mechanical vacuum pump works under the action of airflow; the control unit is used for controlling opening or closing of the mechanical vacuum pump and the electric vacuum pump according to the vacuum degree sensed by the pressure sensor and preset conditions. Therefore, the mechanical vacuum pump is additionally arranged and can work when the electric vacuum pump breaks down, and safety is improved; and when the electric vacuum pump does not break down, the mechanical vacuum pump can work in cooperation with the electric vacuum pump under the action of airflow, and energy is effectively saved.
