The invention discloses a driving auxiliary braking system and method, and relates to the technical field of vehicle braking systems, and the driving auxiliary braking system comprises a plurality of heart rate sensors distributed on a steering wheel; the driving device is used for driving a push rod of the vehicle brake master cylinder to move in the axial direction of the push rod; all the heart rate sensors are in signal connection with the control unit, and the control unit is used for analyzing the fluctuation ratio of heart rate signals monitored by the heart rate detection sensors and controlling starting and stopping and starting duration of the driving device according to the fluctuation ratio. The method comprises the step of driving the push rod through the driving device according to different heart rate fluctuation rates so as to realize braking at different braking decelerations. According to the driving auxiliary braking system and method, braking can be automatically carried out under the emergency condition of driving, and therefore collision accidents are avoided.
