The invention discloses a robot chassis independent suspension device with a steering function and a robot chassis, the independent suspension device comprises a suspension system mounted on a wheel, and the suspension system comprises a hub motor and a suspension mechanism; the suspension mechanism comprises a hub motor clamping mechanism, a cantilever connecting rod, a suspension lower swing arm, a supporting arm and a shock absorber. The front and rear sides of the upper part of the hub motor clamping mechanism are hinged to the outer ends of two cantilever connecting rods; the inner ends of the two cantilever connecting rods are hinged to the front and rear sides of the middle part of the supporting arm; the inner ends of the two cantilever connecting rods are hinged to the front side and the rear side of the bottom of the supporting arm; the shock absorber is located between the two cantilever connecting rods, the top is connected with the middle of the top of the supporting arm, and the bottom is connected with the middle of the two cantilever connecting rods. The two steering systems are mounted on the left side and the right side of the chassis main body. Through the four-wheel independent suspension system and the two-side independent steering system, the damping effect of the suspension system and the adaptability of the robot chassis to various sharp turns and other road conditions are improved.
