The invention relates to the technical field of automobile driving motors, and particularly discloses a driving motor over-temperature fault processing method and system, and the method comprises the steps: setting two threshold temperatures according to the allowable temperature of a motor, presetting the relation between the threshold temperatures and the torque output of the motor, setting the return difference temperature, and employing the setting of torque and temperature hysteresis. By means of the method, the motor can be effectively protected from being damaged due to the over-temperature fault, and poor driving experience brought to a driver due to the fact that the motor stops outputting the over-temperature torque is reduced as much as possible.
