The invention provides a deformable folding type hexapod robot which comprises a first advancing assembly and second advancing assemblies, and the second advancing assemblies are installed on the two sides of the first advancing assembly. The second marching leg, the fourth marching leg and the sixth marching leg are folded and combined to form a circle, and are driven by the first motor, so that the connecting plate drives the second marching leg, the fourth marching leg and the sixth marching leg to rotate, and leg type movement of the hexapod robot is converted into wheel type movement; a higher traveling speed is obtained on a flat road surface, the traveling efficiency is improved, a second traveling leg, a fourth traveling leg and a sixth traveling leg are unfolded and are used for leg type movement, the robot can better adapt to a rugged road surface, and the robot can move on the rugged road surface through mutual conversion of leg type movement and wheel type movement. The adaptive capacity of the bionic robot to the road surface is improved, and the application range of the robot is widened.
