The invention relates to the technical field of automobile safety, in particular to a self-adaptive emergency braking method and system based on a road adhesion coefficient, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining vehicle driving data; according to the vehicle driving data and a magic tire model, the relation between the longitudinal force and the slip rate of the tire is obtained; estimating a road adhesion coefficient by adopting a recursive least square method based on the relationship between the longitudinal force and the slip rate of the tire; establishing a vehicle braking distance model; and obtaining a safe distance corresponding to the current road surface according to the road surface adhesion coefficient and a vehicle braking distance model. On-line recognition is carried out on the road surface based on the recursive least square method, the safe distance model is updated in real time according to the road surface information, good self-adaptability is achieved, the accuracy of data is conveniently guaranteed, and effective collision avoidance is achieved.
