The invention relates to a double worm gear drive (10) and to a drive unit (11) for adjusting a movable part (12), in particular a seat assembly or a steering column, in a vehicle, comprising a first drive stage (21), which consists of a first worm and a first worm gear meshing with the first worm, and a second drive stage (31), which consists of a second worm and a second worm gear meshing with the second worm, the second transmission stage consists of a second worm and a second worm wheel which meshes with the second worm, the first worm wheel being coupled to the second worm in a rotationally fixed manner via a common axis of rotation and the second worm wheel being produced integrally with a bearing shaft made of plastic. The bearing shaft is supported in a common transmission part housing of the two transmission stages, and the bearing shaft has a hollow shaft profile as a driven element, in which hollow shaft profile at least one corresponding profiled shaft can be inserted in the axial direction in a form-fitting manner.
