The invention discloses an electric power steering system, a control method of the electric power steering system, a medium, electronic equipment and a vehicle. The control method of the electric power steering system comprises the steps that the vehicle speed of a vehicle and the torque of a steering wheel are obtained; judging whether the vehicle speed and the torque meet preset conditions or not; and if yes, damping control is conducted on a power-assisted motor in the electric power-assisted steering system according to the vehicle speed.
