The invention discloses a self-propelled underwater search and rescue device which comprises a waterproof shell, a waterproof lamp is arranged on a cover plate on the upper portion of the waterproof shell, anti-collision foam is arranged on the periphery of the cover plate, a storage battery, an integrated mainboard, an infrared thermal imager and a motor are arranged in the waterproof shell, and a motor rotor at the tail of the motor is connected with a propeller. The integrated mainboard controls the motor, the waterproof lamp and the infrared thermal imager at the same time, and a storage battery arranged in the waterproof shell provides energy for the whole device. According to the device, based on the requirements of rescue timeliness, device simplicity and rescue self-propulsion, through the coordination work of the integrated mainboard, the control motor, the waterproof lamp and the infrared thermal imager which are integrated in function, all-directional search and rescue work can be automatically carried out on the water surface and underwater in a certain water area.
