An unmanned vehicle (20) travels by driving an electric motor using electric power generated by a generator, and is provided with a position sensor (240) for detecting the position of the unmanned vehicle (20), a speed sensor (250) for detecting the speed of the unmanned vehicle (20), and a vehicle control device (220) for controlling the unmanned vehicle (20). On the basis of the position of the unmanned vehicle (20) detected by the position sensor (240) and the speed of the unmanned vehicle (20) detected by the speed sensor (250), the vehicle control device (220) calculates the work progress of the loading work to the unmanned vehicle (20) by the loader (30) or the work progress of the preceding vehicle. The time from the time at which the calculated work progress is predicted to exceed the predetermined proportion to the time at which the unmanned vehicle (20) is predicted to start acceleration is calculated as the acceleration preparation time, and the generator is caused to generate power during the calculated acceleration preparation time.
