The invention relates to a working method of a multifunctional tower crane system integrated with an electric grab bucket, and belongs to the technical field of grab buckets of tower cranes. The tower crane system comprises a rotary platform, an electric grab bucket, a coil winder, a tower crane lifting hook, a display screen, a programmable controller and four operation keys installed in a cab. When the tower crane works and the tower crane function is used, the electric grab bucket is not used, and the electric grab bucket is hung below the rotary platform; when the grab bucket function is used, a tower crane lifting hook moves to a lifting ring to lift out the grab bucket, meanwhile, a cable connected with the electric grab bucket is released through buttons, and a driver controls a winding drum to rotate through two buttons in a cab and controls opening and closing of the grab bucket through a steel wire rope driving structure. The opening and closing limit positions are transmitted to the PLC through limiting and are displayed on the display screen to prompt a driver. The electric grab bucket is reasonable in structural design, safe, reliable, convenient to operate and intelligent, the electric grab bucket function is added, and the use requirement is met.
