The invention relates to the technical field of dancing robots, in particular to a dancing multi-legged robot. Comprising a robot body, a mounting base, a plurality of leg assemblies and a protection mechanism, the protection mechanism comprises an annular mounting frame and a plurality of sensing assemblies, and each sensing assembly comprises a sleeve, a cover plate, a touch switch, a sliding rod, a sliding block and a spring. If a touch block collides with an obstacle in the dancing process of the dancing robot, a sliding rod drives a sliding block to slide in a sleeve, the sliding block touches a touch switch, and a controller of a robot body controls a plurality of leg assemblies to move in the direction away from the current touch switch according to current switch-on information of the touch switch; therefore, the dancing robot is prevented from continuously moving towards the obstacle, the dancing robot continuously collides with the obstacle, certain damage to the dancing robot is caused, and the service life of the dancing robot is shortened.
