The invention provides a flapping-amplitude-variable hovering flapping wing experimental device which comprises an integral support, a motor is mounted at the top of the integral support, and an output shaft of the motor is in driving connection with a reduction gear set; the reduction gear set is in driving connection with an output gear set; the output gear set is in driving connection with flapping wings; according to the invention, the large-amplitude reciprocating flapping of the flapping wings can be realized, the flapping amplitude can be adjusted within the range of 120-180 degrees, the structure is simple, the transmission efficiency is high, the reliability is good, and the universality is high.
