The invention discloses an envelope type space capturing mechanism which comprises a paper folding paw and a connecting rod driving mechanism, the paper folding paw comprises 13 paper folding units, each paper folding unit comprises two first folding plates, two second folding plates and two third folding plates, and the connecting rod driving mechanism comprises a main shaft, a sliding block, a fixed disc, a long connecting rod and a short connecting rod. One end of the long connecting rod is hinged to the edge of the paper folding unit in a matched mode, the other end of the long connecting rod is hinged to the fixed disc in a matched mode, one end of the short connecting rod is hinged to the long connecting rod in a matched mode, and the other end of the short connecting rod is hinged to the edge of the sliding block in a matched mode. According to the enveloping type space capturing mechanism, collision buffering energy absorption capturing and self-adaptive capturing are achieved by combining continuous folding surface enveloping capturing with the weak rigidity folding plates, the paper folding claws are composed of the weak rigidity folding plates and the folding mark hinges, and compared with a traditional space capturing mechanism, the enveloping type space capturing mechanism meets the enveloping capturing characteristic, the buffering energy absorption characteristic and the self-adaptive capturing characteristic.
