The invention relates to the technical field of ships, in particular to a ship performance testing method. The method comprises the following steps: driving a vehicle onto a first inclined shipway, and stopping the vehicle after the vehicle arrives at a specified position; the ship is moved to one side of the first inclined shipway in water and fixed, and the bow of the ship faces the tail of the vehicle; a ship springboard of the ship is lowered, one end of the ship springboard is in lap joint with the first inclined shipway, and the ship springboard directly faces the tail of the vehicle; and carrying out loading and unloading test on the vehicle to obtain performance parameters of the ship. According to the ship performance test method provided by the invention, the first inclined shipway in the ship launching device is utilized to replace a wharf, so that time does not need to be specially spent for coordinating an idle wharf, and the test efficiency is improved.
