The invention provides a winch which can reliably stop rotation of a shaft-shaped component and can improve installation strength of a pawl shaft when a brake device breaks down and the like. A winch (10) is provided with a rotation lock device (100) for locking the rotation of a shaft-shaped member (25), and the rotation lock device (100) is provided with a stopper support member (120) that rotates integrally with the shaft-shaped member (25), a stopper member (140) that is slidably supported by the stopper support member (120), and a stopper locking mechanism (110). The locking member (114) is provided with a locking wall (114) which stops the rotation of the shaft-shaped member (25) by abutting against the stopper member (140). When the shaft-shaped member (25) is rotated at an accelerated speed in the first rotational direction, the stopper member (140) protrudes to a position where the stopper member (140) engages with the stopper locking mechanisms (110) and stops the rotation of the shaft-shaped member (25), and a pawl shaft (115) is integrally formed on each stopper locking mechanism (110), and the stopper locking mechanisms (110) are attached to the frame (12) by means of support bolts (B1).
