The invention is suitable for the technical field of elevators and provides an escalator control method and device and a storage medium, and the method comprises the steps that when an escalator operates at a rated speed in a power frequency mode, if no passenger enters the escalator, an energy consumption power source is triggered to output a direct-current power source to a motor, and a speed detection circuit is triggered to detect the rotating speed of the motor; wherein the energy consumption power supply is used for gradually reducing the current of the direct-current power supply to a preset current threshold value according to the rotating speed until the rotating speed is 0; and when the rotating speed is 0, the brake is triggered to release braking so as to control the escalator to stop running. According to the method, when the escalator needs to stop in the power frequency mode, the rotating speed is adjusted to be 0 firstly and then the brake is released for braking by applying an energy consumption braking method, the brake is protected, and the method can be suitable for application occasions in an energy-saving control mode and is low in cost.
