The invention particularly relates to a crane cart running mechanism capable of continuously working for a long time. The crane cart running mechanism comprises four driving units and two or three sets of speed regulating devices, the four driving units are symmetrically arranged at four corners of the crane; the speed regulation device is configured to be in an in-use mode and a standby mode; each driving unit comprises two motors, two brake wheel couplings, two brakes, a speed reducer, two universal couplings, two driving wheel sets and one to eight driven wheel sets. In each driving unit, two motors input power from two input shafts of a speed reducer through brake wheel couplings directly connected with the motors, the power is converged in the speed reducer and then shunted, and the power output from the speed reducer drives driving wheels of a driving wheel set to rotate through universal couplings. The driving wheel set drags driven wheels of the driven wheel set to rotate through the trolley frame and the end beam, and then the whole crane is driven to move in parallel.
