The hybrid navigation mobile robot for the welding island comprises a vehicle body and a set of steering wheels and universal wheels arranged below the vehicle body, a vehicle body fixed wheel carrier and a vehicle body movable wheel carrier are arranged on the lower portion of the vehicle body, and the steering wheels and the universal wheels are arranged on the vehicle body fixed wheel carrier and the vehicle body movable wheel carrier. The vehicle body movable wheel carrier is movably arranged on the vehicle body fixed wheel carrier through a swing bridge. The hybrid navigation mobile robot for the welding island is reasonable in design, two steering wheels are adopted for driving, and two bearing universal wheels are adopted; the vehicle body movable wheel carrier can be adjusted adaptively according to ground swing, and the road holding force of the steering wheel is improved; the hydraulic supporting legs are arranged to relieve impact force on the steering wheels, and stability and reliability are achieved; and by adopting mixed laser SLAM, inertial navigation and code band navigation, the precision can be effectively improved, and the method can be suitable for application occasions with poor working conditions.
