The present invention relates to a position information calculation device and a position information calculation method, which can quickly and accurately calculate the position of a moving body without using a positioning technique such as GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System). A position information calculation device according to an embodiment is provided with: a sensor information acquisition unit that acquires sensor information obtained by sensing an external environment of a moving body by a sensor; a landmark detection unit that detects a predetermined landmark set in advance on the basis of the sensor information and acquires first sensor landmark information; a landmark dictionary unit that stores, in advance, second sensor landmark information in which the landmarks are associated with position information; a landmark search unit that acquires the position information associated with the landmark in the first sensor landmark information by a search using the landmark dictionary unit; and a moving body position calculation unit that calculates the position of the moving body on the basis of the position information of the landmark.

    本发明涉及位置信息计算装置以及位置信息计算方法,即使不使用GNSS那样的定位技术也能够快速且高精度地计算出移动体的位置。实施方式的位置信息计算装置具备:传感器信息取得部,取得通过由传感器对移动体的外部环境进行传感检测而得到的传感器信息;地标检测部,根据上述传感器信息对预先设定的规定的地标进行检测而取得第1传感器地标信息;地标词典部,预先存储由上述地标与位置信息建立关联的第2传感器地标信息;地标检索部,通过使用了上述地标词典部的检索,取得与上述第1传感器地标信息中的上述地标建立关联的上述位置信息;以及移动体位置计算部,基于上述地标的上述位置信息来计算上述移动体的位置。
