The invention provides a walking beam feeding control method which comprises the steps that when a feeding signal for a walking beam is triggered, at least one saddle of the walking beam is switched to be in a locked state; all crown blocks are controlled to carry out feeding operation corresponding to all the saddles, and after the corresponding feeding operation is completed, the corresponding saddles are switched to the unlocked state; and the locking condition of each saddle is detected in real time, and the stepping beam is controlled to start to transfer the steel coil according to each locking condition. According to the technical scheme, mutual interference between the walking beam and the crown block can be reduced to a certain extent, and the operation efficiency is improved.
