The invention relates to a method for automatically charging a vehicle, and the method comprises the steps: a charging port positioning process: determining the type of the vehicle; checking whether the vehicle is a non-standard vehicle of which the size is changed or not; if the vehicle is checked to be a non-standard vehicle, directly scanning and capturing the position of a charging port; determining the position of a charging port based on the vehicle type determined in the vehicle type determining step if the vehicle is checked to be a standard vehicle with an unchanged size; and an automatic charging process in which automatic charging is performed based on the position of the charging port. The invention further relates to a corresponding charging device and a vehicle charging system. The method has the advantages that the position of the charging port can be determined based on the vehicle type for a standard vehicle, the position of the charging port is directly scanned and captured for a non-standard vehicle, and therefore the robustness of charging port position recognition is improved.
