The method comprises the steps that image information of a front car is acquired; determining vehicle type information of the front vehicle based on the image information of the front vehicle; based on the image information of the front vehicle and the vehicle type information of the front vehicle, refitting information of the front vehicle is determined; selecting a corresponding three-dimensional flow field simulation modification model based on the modification information of the front vehicle and the vehicle type information; and correcting the following position of the current vehicle according to the three-dimensional flow field simulation refitted model. In this way, the modification information of the front vehicle and the vehicle type information of the front vehicle are obtained, the three-dimensional flow field simulation modification model of the front vehicle is determined based on the modification information of the front vehicle and the vehicle type information, and the vehicle following position of the current vehicle is corrected based on the three-dimensional flow field simulation modification model of the front vehicle. And the following position of the current vehicle is controlled to be within the trailing vortex negative pressure area of the front vehicle, and the economical efficiency of fuel is improved.
