차로 결정 방법 및 차로 결정 장치에서, 차량의 항법 위치가 획득되고, 고정밀 지도 데이터로부터 항법 위치에 인접한 차선 정보가 추출되고, 항법 위치, 차선 정보 및 카메라 파라미터에 기초하여 항법 위치의 위치 오차 범위 내의 복수의 차량 위치들에서의 복수의 가상 차선 영상들이 생성되고, 차량의 전방 영상이 촬영되고, 전방 영상에서 차선을 검출하여 차선 검출 영상이 생성되고, 차선 검출 영상과 복수의 가상 차선 영상들에 대한 매칭을 수행하여 복수의 가상 차선 영상들 중 차선 검출 영상과 매칭되는 가상 차선 영상이 선택되고, 복수의 차량 위치들 중 선택된 가상 차선 영상에 상응하는 차량 위치에 따라 항법 위치가 보정되고, 보정된 항법 위치에 기초하여 차량의 현재 차로가 결정된다.
