An electric vehicle (EV) includes a frame extending rearward from a front portion of the EV toward a rear portion of the EV. A floor structure is disposed below and supported by the frame. The battery is disposed in a cavity defined between the floor structure and the frame. The first heat generating component is disposed in the rear portion of the EV. The EV further includes a duct extending from the front to the first heat generating component to direct air from the front to the first heat generating component.
