The invention relates to a method for determining a torque curve of an internal combustion engine (4) of a hybrid drive train (1), in particular of a misfire, which internal combustion engine (4) comprises a crankshaft (6) and is influenced by a torque, and to a hybrid drive train (1) for the method, the invention relates to a hybrid drive train comprising a first partial drive train (2), which comprises an internal combustion engine (4) and a first device (8) for detecting a rotational characteristic value of a crankshaft (6) in order to control the internal combustion engine (4), and a second partial drive train (3), which is separated from the first partial drive train by means of a torsional elastomer (7), and the second sub-powertrain comprises an electric machine (9) having a rotor (10) and second means (11) for detecting a rotational characteristic value of the rotor (10) in order to control the electric machine (9). The aim of the invention is to allow a quick and simple detection of misfire of an internal combustion engine (4). This is achieved by comparing the rotational characteristic values of the two devices (8, 11) to determine the misfire of the internal combustion engine (4).
