The invention relates to a method for controlling a hybrid drive train (100) having an internal combustion engine (ICE), a crankshaft (KW) and a dual-clutch transmission (DKG) which transmits a drive torque (M (A)) to drive wheels (AR) and which has a first partial transmission (TG1) and a second partial transmission (TG2), the invention relates to a first sub-transmission (1, 3, 5, 7) which can be shifted between a first transmission input shaft (GE1) and a first transmission output shaft (GA1), and a first friction clutch (C1) which is arranged between a crankshaft (KW) and the first transmission input shaft (GE1), the second partial transmission (TG2) has a plurality of gears (2, 4, 6, R) which can be switched between the second transmission input shaft (GE2) and the second transmission output shaft (GA2), a second friction clutch (C2) which is arranged between the crankshaft (KW) and the second transmission input shaft (GE2), and an electric machine (EM) which is associated with the second partial transmission (TG2). In order to be able to reduce the load on the dual clutch (DK) and to be able to design the dual clutch (DK) more simply, the electric machine (EM) takes over at least part of the drive torque from the internal combustion engine (ICE) in a torque-overlapping manner before shifting between the gears of the two partial transmissions (TG1, TG2) and performs a change in the frictional engagement of the friction clutches (C1, C2) when the frictional power is at least reduced.
