The skin (1) comprises at least a translucent elastic layer (5) consisting of a coloured plastic material, and the translucent elastic layer (5) comprises at least one first portion (8) configured to be located in front of the light source (9). Due to the presence of surface irregularities (17, 18) on the surface of the translucent layer (5), the light of the light source (9) produces an image on the first portion (8) of the translucent layer. When its colored plastic material has an average spectral attenuation coefficient ([alpha] av) between 1.0 mm-1 and 25 mm-1, a clearly visible image can be obtained by providing even a small difference in the thickness of the translucent layer (5). The layer thickness difference (d2-d1) and the average spectral attenuation coefficient (alphaav) should also be large enough to satisfy the formula: alphaav (d2-d1) >-lna, where a is equal to 0.50. Since surface irregularities (17, 18) can be automatically produced when forming the translucent layer (5) against the mold surface, an image can be easily obtained at the correct position on the skin (1).
