The invention provides a vertical take-off and landing aircraft and a control method of the vertical take-off and landing aircraft. The vertical take-off and landing aircraft comprises a fuselage, a tail thrust rotor wing, a fixed empennage, two first power assemblies and two second power assemblies. Wings are arranged on two sides of the fuselage; the two first power assemblies are symmetrically installed on wings on the two sides of the fuselage. The first power assembly comprises a tilting rotor wing and a first fixed rotor wing; the tilting rotors are mounted on the wings through rotor tilting mechanisms; the two second power assemblies are symmetrically installed on the wings on the two sides of the fuselage and located on the outer sides of the first power assemblies correspondingly. The tail thrust rotor wing is mounted at the tail part of the fuselage; the fixed empennages are connected to the first power assemblies on the two sides of the fuselage. According to the vertical take-off and landing aircraft and the control method, the layout mode of an EVTOL manned aircraft in the prior art can be improved, and the loading capacity and the cruising ability of the vertical take-off and landing aircraft are improved.
