The underwater crawling cable detection robot comprises a control equipment loading platform, compressed air bags are fixed to the left side and the right side of the bottom of the control equipment loading platform through bolts, and hydraulic suspension cylinders are fixed to the adjacent sides of the front end and the rear end of the bottom of each compressed air bag through bolts; track connecting supports are fixed to the sides, far away from each other, of the front end and the rear end of the bottom of the compressed air bag through bolts, upper supporting rods are fixed to the tops of the track connecting supports through connecting shafts, lower supports are fixedly connected to the middles of the track connecting supports through bolts, and connecting rods are fixed to the tops of the lower supports through bolts. Triangular supporting plates are fixed to the tops of the connecting rods through bolts, crawler walking equipment is fixed to the sides, away from each other, of the bottoms of the crawler connecting supports through bolts, and a measuring equipment loading support is arranged in front of the bottom of the control equipment loading platform. The underwater crawling cable detection robot has the advantages of being small in size, high in stability, capable of being recycled and high in adaptability.
