The invention discloses a cableway inspection robot with an obstacle avoidance function. The cableway inspection robot comprises an inspection robot body, a rope clip and a guide assembly. One end of the rope clip is hinged to the top of the inspection robot, and the other end of the rope clip is connected with an external cableway; the guiding assembly is arranged on an external obstacle and used for guiding the inspection robot. When the inspection robot passes through the obstacle, a cableway bend wheel and an inward-bending rope-resistant wheel do not need to be additionally arranged to enable the cableway to bypass the obstacle area, the defect that in the prior art, the complexity and construction cost of a cableway system are increased is overcome, the inspection robot is more stable and smoother, the inspection robot does not need to bypass in the obstacle avoiding process, and the cableway construction cost is reduced.
