The invention discloses a reciprocating type hydraulic catapult. The annular upper driving chain and the annular lower driving chain are connected to the lower portion of a deck and the lower portion of a waterline of the ship body through the four rollers respectively, and the driven chain wheel and the driving chain wheel are meshed with the upper driving chain and the lower driving chain respectively. The driven sprocket is connected with the driving sprocket through a transmission shaft and a transmission. The left rear hook and the right front hook are arranged in a left sliding groove and a right sliding groove in a deck of the ship body respectively and connected with the upper driving chain. The left front tackle and the right rear tackle are arranged on the outer sides of the left hull and the right hull of the hull respectively and connected with the lower driving chain. An upper wing plate and a lower wing plate which can be opened and closed are arranged on a forward rotating shaft and a reverse rotating shaft of the steering gear respectively. When the ship body sails normally, the upper and lower wing plates on the left and right pulleys are in a closed state. When the ship body is catapulted to sail, the wing plates on the left tackle and the right tackle are opened and closed respectively, so that the upper driving chain and the lower driving chain can be driven to rotate in a reciprocating manner, and a shipboard aircraft can be continuously catapulted through the hooks moving in a left-right reciprocating manner.
