The invention discloses a hydraulic and electromagnetic composite aircraft catapult, in particular to an aircraft catapult for an aircraft carrier. An electromagnetic catapult is improved, and mainly, the capacity of a forced energy storage device is reduced. According to the technical scheme, through a hydraulic cylinder and an acceleration mechanism, an electromagnetic catapult unit is turned on after an initial speed of 45 m/s or higher is provided for an aircraft, acceleration does not need to be started from zero during electromagnetic catapulting, and therefore the capacity of the forced energy storage device is reduced. The hydraulic and electromagnetic composite aircraft catapult can be used as an aircraft catapult without runways on land or a vehicle-mounted mobile aircraft catapult.
