The invention relates to the technical field of engineering machinery, and discloses a control method for a crane, a processor, a control device and the crane. The crane comprises a suspension arm with a plurality of sections of arms, a bolt mechanism for controlling the arm to stretch out and draw back and an oil cylinder for driving the arm to stretch out and draw back, the bolt mechanism is arranged at the tail of the oil cylinder, and the oil cylinder is arranged in a barrel of the suspension arm and axially moves in the barrel. The tail part of the oil cylinder is provided with a distance measuring sensor for detecting the radial distance from the tail part of the oil cylinder to the suspension arm; the control method comprises the following steps: receiving an instruction used for indicating a target arm in the multi-section arm to stretch out and draw back; determining a target preset distance range according to the target arm; obtaining a radial distance detected by a distance measuring sensor; under the condition that the radial distance is within the target preset distance range, it is determined that the plug pin mechanism is currently located at the tail of the target arm; and controlling the target arm to stretch. The detection mechanism for the section number and the arm position of the current suspension arm of the bolt mechanism is simple, installation and debugging are simple, and detection is more reliable and accurate.
