The invention relates to a steel rail fastener loosening detection robot. The robot comprises a walking mechanism capable of walking on at least one steel rail; the fastener detection sensing unit is arranged at the front end of the walking structure, connected with the controller and used for collecting three-dimensional image information of the fastener to be detected and sending the three-dimensional image information to the controller; the stress measurement unit comprises at least two stress measurement modules, the two stress measurement modules are arranged below the walking structure side by side and connected with the controller, and stress detection probes of the two stress measurement modules correspond to the two sides of the steel rail respectively; and the controller is arranged above the walking mechanism, is connected with the walking mechanism and is used for controlling the walking mechanism to advance on the steel rail according to the control instruction, controlling the stress measurement unit to carry out stress detection on the steel rail at the fastener to be detected according to the three-dimensional image information and determining whether the fastener to be detected is loosened or not according to a stress detection result. According to the detection robot, a calibration test is not needed, and the detection efficiency and accuracy are improved.
