A device for detecting the state of a grab bucket comprises an inertial sensor and a calculation device, wherein the inertial sensor is connected with the calculation device, the inertial sensor is installed on the grab bucket, the inertial sensor collects attitude data of the grab bucket, and the calculation device judges the inclination state of the grab bucket according to the attitude data collected by the inertial sensor. The attitude data of the grab bucket is collected through the inertial sensor, the calculation device judges whether the grab bucket is inclined and/or touches the bottom or not according to the attitude data, the inclined state and/or the bottoming state of the grab bucket can be effectively detected, and the safety performance of the unmanned grab bucket bridge crane can be improved.
