The invention discloses a digital rail transit train control system which comprises a vehicle-mounted system and a ground system cluster, and further comprises a passive positioning system, and the passive positioning system comprises a passive sensor group which is laid along a rail and is used for train positioning and speed measurement, and a passive positioning system data processing unit which is deployed at a station along the rail. Sensors in the vehicle-mounted sensor system and the trackside system are omitted, maintainability and reliability are improved, and construction and maintenance cost is reduced.
