The invention belongs to the technical field of hybrid vehicles, and discloses a control system and method for a power battery of a plug-in hybrid vehicle. The system comprises: an engine cooling loop which is provided with an engine and a radiator III; a motor cooling loop which is provided with a power motor body and a radiator III; a battery cooling loop which is provided with a power battery, a radiator III and a radiator II; a warm air loop which is provided with a radiator III, a radiator IV and a fan II; an air conditioner refrigerating circuit which is provided with a radiator II, a radiator V and an air conditioner compressor assembly, wherein the radiator V is connected with the fan II; and a passenger compartment, wherein the temperature is adjusted through the fan II. According to the system, an electric heating device of a high-voltage electric component is omitted, the power battery and the passenger compartment are heated under the condition that an engine is not started, and the system cost is reduced.
