The method comprises the steps of obtaining one or more target performance parameters of a to-be-tested brake system according to a first set time period; determining a performance threshold according to the historical performance parameters of the to-be-tested brake system; comparing the target performance parameter with a corresponding performance threshold value to determine the performance state of the to-be-tested brake system; and if the performance state of the to-be-tested brake system represents that the to-be-tested brake system is in the abnormal state, outputting prompt information, thereby being capable of improving the safety of vehicle braking.
