The invention relates to a method for autonomously controlling a mobility of an automotive apparatus (10), which mobility is such as to have an influence on the path (T0) of the apparatus. According to the invention, the method includes steps of: acquiring parameters related to the path of the apparatus, and computing a new control setpoint for the mobility of the apparatus depending on the parameters, the new control setpoint being determined by means of a controller that satisfies a model that limits the variation in the control setpoint.
