The application relates to a multifunctional tower crane which comprises a base, a tower body and a movable arm, wherein the base is fixed to the ground; the tower body is formed by integrally splicing several groups of prefabricated units from bottom to up, the upper end of the tower body is rotatably connected with a horizontally arranged abutment, and a vertically arranged bracket is fixed to the abutment. The movable arm comprises a main rod and an auxiliary rod, the main rod is fixedly connected with the bracket, the auxiliary rod is slidably inserted to the main rod, the main rod is provided with a second motor and a third motor, a hook is mounted on the front end of the auxiliary rod, and a first steel cable is connected between the second motor and the hook. A pulley block is mounted on the upper end of the bracket, and a second steel cable bypassing the pulley block is connected between the auxiliary rod and the third motor. A driving device that drives the auxiliary rod to move horizontally along the main rod continuously is mounted at the back end of the auxiliary rod. According to the technical scheme, a hoisting operation of the tower crane is carried out in an area with densely distributed buildings, such that the tower crane can hoist material smoothly under a condition of more buildings.
