The invention provides a folding and unfolding mechanism of an unmanned aerial vehicle, which belongs to the technical field of unmanned aerial vehicles. The problem that an existing folding mechanism of the unmanned aerial vehicle is controlled by a motor, so that the space-leaving time of the unmanned aerial vehicle is shortened. The folding and unfolding mechanism of the unmanned aerial vehicle comprises a rotary positioning seat capable of being installed on an unmanned aerial vehicle body and a rotary shaft which is rotationally connected to the rotary positioning seat and can be used for installing wings or empennages, and a torsional spring is arranged between the rotary positioning seat and the rotary shaft. The folding and unfolding mechanism further comprises a locking piece for positioning the rotary shaft when the wing or the empennage is folded and the torsional spring is in a pre-compressed state, and when the locking piece unlocks the rotary shaft, the torsional spring can drive the rotary shaft to rotate so that the wing or the empennage can be unfolded. And the rotary positioning seat is connected with a positioning piece capable of positioning the rotating shaft when the wing or the empennage is in an unfolded state. The folding and unfolding mechanism of the unmanned aerial vehicle does not affect the electric energy use of the unmanned aerial vehicle, and further prolongs the time of the unmanned aerial vehicle in the air.
